Watch Neil Young, Willie Nelson & His Sons Share The Stage In Italy

Posted On Mar 2 2021 by

first_imgThere’s no denying that the legendary Neil Young has seen something of a renewed vigor of late, having teamed with Promise Of The Real for their debut album The Monsanto Years in 2015. Of course, POTR is powered by Lukas and Micah Nelson, children of the renowned guitarist Willie Nelson. There’s no love lost between Nelson and Young, as the two have collaborated many times over throughout their lengthy careers. Seeing them play together with the whole Nelson family, however, always makes for a special moment. That happened over the weekend, when Willie Nelson joined Young and Promise of the Real over two nights in Italy. The first show featured Nelson on the classic “Are There Any More Real Cowboys?,” and continued when POTR played their debut version of Nelson’s hit song “On The Road Again.” Watch it all go down at the Terme di Caracalla in Rome, below.Nelson reprised his appearance last night as well, joining his sons and Neil Young for another pairing of “Are There Any More Real Cowboys?” and “On The Road Again” at Piazza Napoleone in Lucca, Italy. This show, however, included an added bonus, as Nelson returned for the encore performance of the song “Homegrown.” Watch that great encore below, courtesy of 4musiclovers.Check out the full setlists from the weekend, below.Edit this setlist | More Neil Young + Promise of the Real setlists Edit this setlist | More Neil Young + Promise of the Real setlistslast_img read more

Widespread Panic Opens Up Fall Tour With Scorcher In DC [Full Stream]

first_imgAfter spending a month and a half at home, Widespread Panic emerged victoriously at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC last night. The band notoriously told fans that 2017 would be a lighter year for them, as they plan to limit tour dates to major runs and events. With that in mind, the band has a hearty schedule mapped out for the remainder of 2016, starting with their two-night run in DC.The band opened up the show with “Holden Oversoul,” and brought a number of great original tunes like “Blackout Blues,” “One Arm Steve” and more. The band covered Van Morrison’s “Send Your Mind” in the first set as well, and closed out with “Shut Up and Drive” and “Steven’s Cat.”The jams continued in set two when the band opened with “Henry Parsons Died,” and continued to bring the heat with a medley that featured fan-favorite “Little Lilly” segueing into Funkadelic’s “Red Hot Mama.” A great segment of “Papa’s Home” > “Drums” > “Papa’s Home” served as a big jam vehicle, while “North” ended the set in style. Finally, “Expiration Day” and “Porch Song” closed out the set.Check out the full setlist below, and tune in for a full audio stream here.Setlist: Widespread Panic at Warner Theatre, Washington, DC – 9/6/16Set 1: Holden Oversoul > Blackout Blues, One Arm Steve, You Got Yours, Good People, Send Your Mind, Walkin’ (For Your Love), Shut Up and Drive, Steven’s Cat (55 mins)Set 2: Henry Parsons Died, Better Off, Little Lilly > Red Hot Mama > Up All Night > Papa’s Home > Drums > Papa’s Home, Sell Sell, Angels Don’t Sing The Blues, North (92 mins)Encore: Expiration Day, Porch Song (11 mins)[Cover photo and setlist courtesy of PanicStream.com]last_img read more
